IHMCS RECYCLING AND COMPOSTING
IHMCS received a small grant during the 2012-13 school year from Hennepin County to increase our recycling and begin composting our food waste
BLUE Containers
ITEMS THAT CAN BE RECYCLEDPaper used in printers/copiers
Construction paper Notebooks (even spiral bound) Cardboard Envelopes Books Paper with marker, crayon, pen or pencil is OK to recycle! |
ITEMS THAT CAN NOT BE RECYCLEDBinders
Paper with glitter or metal glued to it Paper with lots of glue on it Plastic or paper cups Styrofoam cups Pizza boxes or food containers Cans & bottles should go in green containers |
GREEN Containers
ITEMS THAT CAN BE RECYCLEDAluminum cans: pop/soda, etc
Steel cans: soup Plastic bottles: #1-#7 |
ITEMS THAT CAN NOT BE RECYCLEDCans that still have food in them - rinse out first!
Plastic bags should be recycled at a grocery store Plastic bottles with no number |
